Topping my modem

Ok, I have no idea what I'm doing half the time and that's true when I played with CableNut, some TCP/IP thing and a few others. The upshot is that I'm now getting fairly consistent rates well above my modems rate of 1mg up amd 5mg down. Sure I still get some in the 3/4mg range but 5+ is getting to be the norm. The screenshot here is my highest yet but there's hope for more. Can anyone give some idea what might really be going on?? TIA, Logan

Nice speeds.  :D

So am I to understand that 5mg down is your advertised speeds?  :icon_scratch:

If so, then you are doing great.  :occasion14:

Thanks Tommie, yes on the face of it I'm doing fantastic. But I understand modems are "locked" at their top speed you're paying for. And Shaw sure as heck isn't giving me what amounts to their extra $15.00 a month "ultra fast" 7mg down speeds. So what I'm wanting to know is if modems are locked how am I showing these rates??Logan
