I tested several times to make sure it wasn't just a fluke, but same results every time. Is the server at fault or is it on my side? Help? Please? tommie gorman Posted April 29, 2006 CID Share Posted April 29, 2006 Connection type? Comp cleaned lately? Restarted modem lately? Cleaned out the cache lately?
gotmilk Posted April 29, 2006 Author CID Share Posted April 29, 2006 Connection type: Cable - 3000/256 Cleaned comp lately: No, but will today. Restarted modem lately: Yes, I powercycled the modem and the router about 20 mins. before the tests. Cleaned out cache: No, I'll do that right now. Can't take another test right now, I don't feel like explaining why; it would take too long.
tommie gorman Posted April 30, 2006 CID Share Posted April 30, 2006 I personally run 1000kbps on an advertised 700kbps. So only you or someone on your connection would know any different. From here it looks good. Yeah, sometimes I forget to clean house.
