amish Posted May 19, 2006 CID Share Posted May 19, 2006 I have a D-Link DGL-4300 wireless router, and when I try a speedtest, or try to download any file it will freeze, but won't restart the router. And doesn't start downloading the file again. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
rammolo Posted May 19, 2006 CID Share Posted May 19, 2006 Did you had the firmware updated?? If no you should do it, if yes it may have sent your router to the cementery. Try a master reset, (usually pressing the reset button for 10 seconds or so, this action will reset all your settings to default.
amish Posted May 19, 2006 Author CID Share Posted May 19, 2006 yeah, I did update it. That's what I thought, though it was doing that before I updated the firmware. But it only does this on wireless as I said, the wired has no problems at all.
rammolo Posted May 19, 2006 CID Share Posted May 19, 2006 I had the same problem with a linksys router after updating firmware, eventually had to buy a new one. Try a master reset, it resolves problems most of the time
