Devolt Posted June 17, 2006 CID Share Posted June 17, 2006 I've been doing some searching and reading on here, and it seems the consensus is that the best way to share the connection from a dw6000 is to use a switch. I've never used one or am familiar with them, can you guys recommend a couple? All I'm trying to do is share the the dw6000 connection with my laptop. The dw6000 is currently connected to my pc. I've tried a linksys router I have with no avail. So I'd like to try a 'switch'. May want to connect a third computer in the future. Can you guys point me in the right direction of a good switch to buy? Thanks!!!
boater50 Posted June 18, 2006 CID Share Posted June 18, 2006 I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless B Broadband Router hooked to my DW6000 and it works great. I went to linksys website and used the online installer to configure it. Bought it at Walmart for less than $50.00. I have good wireless range and speed. fikester Posted June 18, 2006 CID Share Posted June 18, 2006 I have been using a Linksys with a dynamic IP with no problems.....also have great wireless range as well. The Linksys can in a few mins be set up as a switch too.
