DirecPC Superslow Past Few Days?

Hi Everyone!

Has anyone else been having problems with DirecPC in the past few days? I am so frustrated with my speed, which has been very good since used the tweak guide, that I almost diedof old age waiting for this forum to load! I am on the satellite Horizons 1 for all you techies, I have emptied my cache, the temp folder, done a complete spyware and virus scan, and nothing shows up. I turned off my Firewall, and disconnected from my router to plug directly into the modem from my PC, just in case there is a bottleneck issue with a bad router. My machine is as clean as a whistle! My games are running just fine, such as Prey, Civ 4, and Half-Life Episode 1, but as for World of Warcraft, I might as well hang it up. Normally I do have around 900 latency on Warcraft, but that is to be expected on a satellite connection. Anyhow, here is the last speed test results I recieved from the download test. If it's just a temporary glitch that other people are experiencing, I will deal with it, but if it's not, I wonder what the heck is wrong...

I haven't noticed any problems. I'm on g11 with 4000, so don't know much. Your speed looks like fap to me.

Someone will have to clarify what "fap" means, because if I have it, I don't know if thats good or bad, LOL ! Anyhow, I cannot explain the recent changes in my connection, although I know sometimes foul weather can really mess with a satellite connection, but the past  few days have been very clear. It may have been an "upper atmosphere anomaly" like DirecPC told me, but who could ever prove them right or wrong with a reason such as that one? I say Art Bell is right, and it was some alien craft that used the satellite as a tie-off buoy for a few days while he harassed some farmers out here in the mid-west (like me)!  Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply, I appreciate your efforts.

Not technically speaking but if you D/L or U/L a certain amout you have used up a certain amount of the allowed bandwidth. So they drop your speeds down for a certain amount of time. Then after a certain amount of alotted time your speeds go back up.

Here you go, read here.

Even one for Wild Blue, just in case.
