katpasin Posted September 5, 2006 CID Share Posted September 5, 2006 i am from india and i have a 2mbps pack. but i nevr get a test result more thn 200kbps. but recently came upon a indian speed test server, which showed very close to my real speed. does speed test have anything to do with ping response time? as i get a response of 250+ ms and about 45ms from the indian server.?? The higher your ping times and the more hops you have the slower your speed test will be. and since you are testing from india your going to have a slow result because you have to go across the pacific ocean.
