Sharky2006 Posted September 29, 2006 CID Share Posted September 29, 2006 Does someone know of a site that allows me to update my drivers....? Basically looking for a site that will show me which drivers on my computer require an update and that allows me to update it (or shows me where to go to update it...). I have tried to figure it out myself and I have even gone to the Intel site to look for updates but to tell you the truth,...I was lost because I did not want to download the wrong thing.... I am using Windows XP.
Voltageman Posted September 29, 2006 CID Share Posted September 29, 2006 Download.com used to have a free scan that would find drivers for you...I don't know of any free ones now... http://driveragent.com Will show you for free which devices have updated drivers available, but you have to pay for access to the file download links. You can scan, and see what devices have updated drivers, and go from there..
Swimmer Posted October 1, 2006 CID Share Posted October 1, 2006 I would check the computer manufacture's website for generic drivers: sound, chipset, NIC.. However, for more advanced devices such as video or wifi.. I would look on the actual manufacture's website.. So if you have a Centrino laptop.. Download the wifi drivers from intel as they are going to be newer there then lets say dell's website.
