MJFSOL Posted October 16, 2006 CID Share Posted October 16, 2006 hi guys....again love the site.... posted awhile back about my computer prob....it was fixed..about 2 weeks ago now as of yesterday....when i boot the comp (dell inspiron 8200 laptop) laptop powers on and works however, there is a warning when you turn it on that says it has detected a 70W power supply instead of a 90W power supply and that it will continue running in battery optimized mode...... well checked my power supply...its a 90W.... and EVEN had a backup 90W supply ....same thing....so im here at the mercy of the crew here..lol any suggestions?? tried calling the local repair guy....hes not in today..wife said he was busy fishing....lol thanx again guys....... <<<<<< funny icon...lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dlewis23 Posted October 16, 2006 CID Share Posted October 16, 2006 you dont have the correct power supply, i had that same laptop it needs a ton of power. if you have any aftermarket powersupply they will not work you need the dell branded power supply for that specific notebook. if you dont have one you can get one for about 30 bucks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
