tommie gorman Posted October 19, 2006 CID Share Posted October 19, 2006 I am pretty sure I have not welcomed you yet, so welcome to the forum 24Kbps I am going to guess you were on dial-up once. FIrst read here and make sure it is clean. Achieve the Best Performance Out of Your Computer http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257 Second are you on a router, try hooking directly to the modem and see if the speeds change. Make sure you restart your modem. Unhook the cable to your modem and touch the end for like 10 seconds. Now try tweaking it. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1013 I understand from other folks that the cablenut editions are some them down. OK, because some connections prefer the TCP Optimizer anyway. Mine does. So try downloading it. That should put you close to where you should be. Also try speed testing with the 1013 file test instead of the smart test. It should give you better speeds.
