aznexp Posted October 19, 2006 CID Share Posted October 19, 2006 ok here's the situation; if i haven't posted enough details or whatever please let me know and i'll try to recitify the situation. So i live on campus in university, am subletting from a married couple and therefore am on a router sharing their internet connection. For the first month my internet was fine, and then 2-3 days it shut down on me. My roommate's internet was fine, so we reset the router and i was good to go. However, i've noticed that when i play my online games (specifically Warcraft III), i've been lagging tremendously; something that hasn't happened before. I tried running spyblaster, and ad-aware, and spybot, and spydoctor, and i've found infections and stuff but it hasn't fixed the problem. I've also tried running the tests, and this is what i found: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 3070 Kbps about 3.07 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 375 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 1) Test Time:: 2006/10/19 - 1:19am Bottom Line:: 54X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 2.73 sec Tested from a 5983 kB file and took 15.968 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: Looks Great : 1.49 % faster than the average for host (yorku.ca) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-CZVMGLTSY User Agent:: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1) [!] :::..
