Bodysurfer Posted November 18, 2006 CID Share Posted November 18, 2006 Before the whole Comcast TW/RR change over, I was getting 8/768 service with about 8300 download and 735 upload. NOW, with TW/RR I have their 8/512 service for the same price AND the speed are a little under. tommie gorman Posted November 19, 2006 CID Share Posted November 19, 2006 Welcome to the forum Bodysurfer I guess it goes that way sometimes. At least you still have the availability of that great 8.0 connection that is not available to others. Still looks pretty good for cable. So does it pretty much still work about the same for you?? Or have you actually noticed much difference??
Bodysurfer Posted November 19, 2006 Author CID Share Posted November 19, 2006 Well I guess its runs the same but at a lower rate both up and down. I have tweeked the hell with this and that. I'm not new around here but couldnt remember my old name. Anyway, I have used many CableNut settings listed here and my own, and have seen no difference. I currently deleted CableNut setting and loaded the TCP Opt program with the basic setting of "OPT". Seems to run pretty good using that program BUT I have done soooooo many registry tweeks & network card tweeks....who knows. Maybe some here could assist me and getting more but I think I am close to the max of what I can get.
