gary2521 Posted December 21, 2006 CID Share Posted December 21, 2006 I ran a test adn found out i am running on only 2 percent of comcast cable ability, this computer is on a wireless router, but I would expect better than this test score.I'm 30 feet from the transmitter. is there anything i can do to get a better connection speed. Thanks Tommie, Having the computer off today has made a difference, but will only last for a short time, then back to slow speed. The things from the achieves link you sent me, I do quite often, I use webroot spy sweeper, webroot windows washer, registry fix, mcafee virus scan, defrag and scan disc. Then I dont want to use the pc anymore Plus i installed another 512 ram thing, kicked the tower and yelled at it, didnt help much I'm gonna run some maintanence and try another test.
