Can I do anything about these?

I did one of the NDT tests this morning and decided to look at some of the details.  I noticed these two references:

Your PC/Workstation has a 125.0 KByte buffer which limits the throughput to 4.56 Mbps

The network based flow control limits the throughput to 4.61 Mbps

I'm thinking the second one means my ISP cap but can I adjust the first?  Thank You and Happy New Year!

hey ratchet :)

those NDT suggestions is not always accurate. It measure your latency, MSS, RWIN and from that calculate how much speed you can get. MSS and RWIN is accurate, but the latencytest is very hard to get accurate during a upload/download.

you could try increasing RWIN, but "The network based flow control limits the throughput to 4.61 Mbps"

What is your ISP advertised speed?

VanBuren :)

Thank you for the reply!  It is "up to 5mbps".  My fastest tests are usually 4.8 at several sites, e.g. @ Speedtest.net I've been up to as high as 4827.  Some other sites will just show 4.81.  This is through a Linksys Router (I'm hard wired to it) and running AVG Ant-Spyware, Spy Sweeper, Windows Defender, NOD32 and Comodo Firewall.
