x_6985381 Posted June 16, 2007 CID Share Posted June 16, 2007 Could someone please help me figure out how to setup my IPv6 on vista, or is this just for servers?
Swimmer Posted June 16, 2007 CID Share Posted June 16, 2007 From what I have read, I dont have Vista, but it seems that IPv6 is one of the struggles that the new networking stack has. It has to do with the way that MS layered IPv4 and IPv6 into the new stack.. Take a look for yourself. http://www.networkworld.com/news/2007/060707-microsoft-vista-ipv6-incompatible.html
cmoore2004 Posted June 17, 2007 CID Share Posted June 17, 2007 Vista should be able to use IP6 right out of the box. However, it uses Teredo, and really sucks. I don't think Road Runner offers native IP6, so you're stuck with what you've got right now (Teredo). Start, run, cmd ping -6 orange.kame.net
