Le_Murphant Posted July 2, 2007 CID Share Posted July 2, 2007 Hi guys I recently installed a stripped down version of XP on a laptop and now I find that I cannot connect to the internet wirelessly because I do not have the "wireless connection" in my network places. I have a network card (siemens speedstream) inserted and its driver is installed, and still no avail. Is there some kind of function I need to activate or something to have it try to detect a network, or is my version of XP just too stripped down? Thx
php Posted July 2, 2007 CID Share Posted July 2, 2007 Run services.msc anc check if you have Network Connections and Wireless Zero Configuration running for starters..
Swimmer Posted July 2, 2007 CID Share Posted July 2, 2007 Are you running the Wireless zero configuration service? If not turn that back on.
