Frankydp Posted July 22, 2007 CID Share Posted July 22, 2007 Is it possible for a Terayon Modem to limit your RWIN? Or can a modem resize a packet at all?
Sequoia Posted July 23, 2007 CID Share Posted July 23, 2007 It can be your OS.I found in Vista a lot is automatic & setting a RWIN like in XP has no effect.
Frankydp Posted July 23, 2007 Author CID Share Posted July 23, 2007 You are apparently correct on the Vista comment, there seem to be many many reg entries concerning packet handling now vice xp or 9x so I guess I will spend an afternoon digging. Sequoia Posted July 23, 2007 CID Share Posted July 23, 2007 Frankydp if you have XP or earlier Cablenut does a good job of making the registry entries for you .If you select show paths in CN options it shows you where the registry setting goes. This will work even if you don't make any settings in CN.If you want to make them manually or research them first. Search some of VanBurens posts on AFD parameters & recieve & send windows in XP. If you have Vista CN is pretty much useless.
