Robocop Posted July 27, 2007 CID Share Posted July 27, 2007 Hello, This just got in. They are now monitoring the accounts and blocking modems/accounts. The new cap (never was one) is 40GB download and 10GB upload monthly. It's time for the puertorrican style method! pay $50 for restablishing the connection + motorola Surfboard "homebrewed" = free internet. Lot's of peps doing it and they focus on pay customers. Onelink is getting out of hands. Well ... more power to them and more money in my pocket. Thanks Craplink
resopalrabotnick Posted July 27, 2007 CID Share Posted July 27, 2007 where'd you get that info on the cap? and how does the block look? is it a slowdown like a sat fap or what?
Robocop Posted July 27, 2007 Author CID Share Posted July 27, 2007 where'd you get that info on the cap? and how does the block look? is it a slowdown like a sat fap or what? 1. "straigh from the horse mouth" ... in other words, from someone internal. 2. The error (if you manage to somehow see it when you have been blocked: http://209.55.0.190:8080/walledgarden/disabledcustomerservice.jsp) and the modem stop working. Only Power and Cable leds are on. 3. They turn off your account (suspend it, slow it and close it) all or one of the above. They are making "black list" of the peps and closing accounts. When you call they come up with threatens and a bunch of bullS#!t, asking for "personal information" (last 4 digits of social security number and all!!!!!) CRAZINES!!! highlanderc Posted August 4, 2007 CID Share Posted August 4, 2007 More info please.... That is what happens when an american company is bought by a puertorrican company.. then they don't want discrimination. .but i guess its bound to happen sooner or later... That is a sustained 15/s transfer rate.... and the upload you will be able to cap it at a sustained rate of 4k/s which is ridiculous... most of the time you transfer that much just downloading and surfing.. they want to strictly make the system no P2P. They will loose a lot of customers.

I've had dmax for more than 10 years now... on my fathers house not a single outage and even on fast path i had decent pings.. 80-110... so ... playable... 5mbit is very attractive.. even [email protected] is very VERY good. The new cap (never was one) is 40GB download and 10GB upload monthly. robo are you sure they're capping the upload bandwidth at 10gb per month? according to dreb's pic they're only capping the download bandwidth at 40 gigs per month then charging you $17 for every time you download 10gb in excess of those 40 gigs
