MaTrIxMaN Posted November 7, 2007 CID Share Posted November 7, 2007 I have to agree with that. I usually stay between 1 and 1.5 depending on the server
Blunted 2 Posted November 8, 2007 CID Share Posted November 8, 2007 Your comcast is not slowing down everyone thats powerboost . The most any of you should get is 8 mb on the highest package and a little more with powerboost if there is extra bandwidth on the node. Now if you live in an area where Fios is then you might have 15/2 or 16/2 because of the competition but other that that you guys are fine. The Boost you have is just extra if its available but it seems like more people are on so there is less available.
Buntz Posted November 8, 2007 CID Share Posted November 8, 2007 I have not had power boost in months. Comcast is slowing down. I have the 8000/768 plan, my bandwidth is all over the place. [check my stats}. Comcast over sold the node and than add phone calls and the node can not handle all the traffic on the east coast.. Blunted 2 Posted November 8, 2007 CID Share Posted November 8, 2007 As long as your getting 8 mb your getting what you pay for so the powerboost is only extra if the node can give it. All cable ISP's do the same thing and I have had issues myself with 30/5 cable and 15/2 cable which got less than 50% of that at times so I got Fios and it never goes under my 20/20 speeds. Cable just sucks most of the time
Buntz Posted November 8, 2007 CID Share Posted November 8, 2007 Cable just sucks most of the time I agree. I also want to go to Fios, But Verizon does not have it in my area yet.
