I also forgot to mention, I am running a PCMCIA wireless card on the laptop and a USB wireless card on the Desktop. The desktop is pulling slightly higher on average at around 3.4 MB down. VanBuren Posted January 31, 2005 CID Share Posted January 31, 2005 alot of ppl has reporting slowdowns with USB network adapters, also wireless can slow you down too anyways we can give this a shot but dont expect too much download this file, unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry in top left corner click file, load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubbleclick on the file you unzipped now you have a few values set in adjuster, click save to registry and reboot, also reboot your modem, router for 30 seconds post a new tweaktest and speed VanBuren Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SMUJeremyZ28 Posted February 2, 2005 Author CID Share Posted February 2, 2005 I am running a 802.11b router/card, which I know is limited to a theoretical 11MBps, would my speed increase if I upgrade to an extreme 802.11g (104MBps) router/PCI card or do I just need to buy a 30 ft. piece of Cat 5 to run to my pc?
