In the morning i have a speed like above but in the afternoon or evening the speed goes below 200 kbps.. what can I do?? I us the cfosspeed, cablenut and tcpoptimizer yesterday.. thanks for the help..
derek22x Posted February 3, 2008 CID Share Posted February 3, 2008 That's pretty ok with Smart Bro. Remember their advertised speed is 384kbps. You're one of the lucky Smart Bro subscribers to get the "RIGHT" speed. If you want a whoping megabits per second speed then I suggest you get a DSL connection. And btw, please always post in english so we can help you out
Guest ExtremeFusion Posted February 3, 2008 CID Share Posted February 3, 2008 jophet to tmn (you have quite the same name with my friend, only that your's spelled different), hope you enjoy your stay here and come back often.. BTW, quick fix is to use proxy, but then again.. if you think about it.. it's like fooling yourself.. because what you are getting is already cached and does not show your real speed.. but then again, it is your own prerogative to use it or not.. jophet Posted February 3, 2008 Author CID Share Posted February 3, 2008 Thank you..ah ok.. that is the speed already?? but it would be more faster?
derek22x Posted February 3, 2008 CID Share Posted February 3, 2008 It could burst above the 384kbps cap but since that's the advertised speed, don't expect way more than that Also, Welcome to TMN
jophet Posted February 3, 2008 Author CID Share Posted February 3, 2008 why your smartbro have that kind of speed?

derek22x Posted February 3, 2008 CID Share Posted February 3, 2008 Please go to your canopy page and go to Tools -> AP Evaluation. Click Rescan APs about 5 times then on top you'll see something like Current Entry Index: 0 Check that and copy the corresponding AP Stats then post here so we can take a look

fr0stbound Posted February 3, 2008 CID Share Posted February 3, 2008 now we see that the best AP available to you is the one on Index: 0. access your canopy SM, click Configuration. under the Radio tab, there is a setting there called Color Code. if it says 124(the color code of AP Index: 0), you're using the the best one.
