x_6985381 Posted August 12, 2008 CID Share Posted August 12, 2008 I've used their online tweak file maker, and got the first file I've seen give me more than my advertised speeds. Now how do I make it stable? Heres the issue, I can download the single file of 12 Megs, just fine. Download: And my Upload: :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Upload Connection is:: 981 Kbps about 1 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Upload Speed is:: 120 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Main) Test Time:: 2008/08/12 - 6:11am Bottom Line:: 17X faster than 56K 1MB Upload in 8.53 sec Tested from a 2992 kB file and took 24.982 seconds to complete Upload Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 89.02 % faster than the average for host (charter.com) U-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-7OB9VFNLW User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 [!] But when testing with the dual test my download drops to the lower 7Meg download rate. It seems to be slow at first, maybe a buffer size is to high, how can I fix this. My connection is 10Meg Download and 1Meg Upload - Charter Communications. Modem Signal Strength Page: Downstream Value Frequency 687000000 Hz Signal To Noise Ratio 36.7 dB Power Level -6.3 dBmV Upstream Value Channel ID 1 Frequency 30000000 Hz Power 45.0 dBmV Ping: 52MS To Testmy.net I've included my custom file. coknuck Posted August 13, 2008 CID Share Posted August 13, 2008 All it takes is one hick up while testing to drop you into the 9's! I would say 85% of the time I'm in the 10's. Here is my testing. http://www.testmy.net/tools/database/db_search.php?type=user&q=Coknuck
