biker9075 Posted November 4, 2008 CID Share Posted November 4, 2008 Little problem. I currently have 4GB of ram (1GB X 4) in my system and have been getting random bsods in vista 32 bit with something about memory management. I ran the vista diagnostics tool and it apparently founds errors. I ran memtest86 and it found no errors. Anyone have any ideas?
tommie gorman Posted November 4, 2008 CID Share Posted November 4, 2008 Does this work in Vista? How to error-check: 1. Double click the my computer icon on the desktop. The my computer window will open. Right click on Local Disk (C:). Click properties. 2. Select the tools tab. Under the error-checking section click check now. 3. A window will pop up with options check the two boxes then click start. 4. It will say that it will run at the next restart. So restart the computer. This process will take a while (20 minutes). It will reboot itself when it is finished. http://www.testmy.net/t-4257
Le_Murphant Posted December 11, 2008 CID Share Posted December 11, 2008 How much ram does vista recognize? To check, type dxdiag in the run command prompt. Have you enabled PAE? Try removing one stick of ram.
