VanBuren Posted February 18, 2005 CID Share Posted February 18, 2005 i would install a extra PCI NIC if you have one, and compare what NIC that works best VanBuren

Swimmer Posted February 18, 2005 CID Share Posted February 18, 2005 onboard will be faster.. it is already on the southbridge.. which means that it has a direct connection to the system bus.. You might not see the speed on the internet but if you are on a lan and are swapping large file you might see it..

bamafamily Posted February 20, 2005 CID Share Posted February 20, 2005 I ran some tests using my onboard Nforce2 controller and an Intel Pro Management adapter.. No differences noted while surfing...and I dont do enough LAN stuff to make measurements... bama
