tommie gorman Posted August 13, 2009 CID Share Posted August 13, 2009 Well offices where there is a network of folks on the same line, and huge file transfers. Colleges have huge pipe lines. At home its more of bragging rights. A decent 2000/1000 is more than most will ever use. I of course wsh I had that much. :::.. tommie gorman Posted August 13, 2009 CID Share Posted August 13, 2009 EVDO. Same price, better U/L, and no bouncing to the moon and back signal. Actually much faster usually. And no outages because its sat. And no FAP. Way better for surfing.
24Kbps Posted August 13, 2009 Author CID Share Posted August 13, 2009 what speeds are you paying for thou?
tommie gorman Posted August 14, 2009 CID Share Posted August 14, 2009 Up to 2 megs, if one has the time to tweak it and search. I do ok usually 1000/400 of an evening when I am usually on. And like I said, for the same money. There is no real advertised speed to it yet. Just up to. To me it was worth it. And always looking for something faster. 24Kbps Posted August 14, 2009 Author CID Share Posted August 14, 2009 yup, fully understand i wouldn't mind having only 768k ya know? if it didnt have that 1-5 sec lag as hughes does.... because i remember using a wireless internet, not satellite and it was roughly 500-600k and it felt really fast.
