hey van =D.

alright, im having a little bit of trouble here.

i have upgraded my speed to 3000/512 and it should be activated yesterday.

so i tried yesterday and my speed was still the same as the 1500, so im guessing that it hasn't been upgraded.

im not sure about this but i think it should be 3000/512.

can you hlep me out?

i tried using cablenut , shutting off my router, stuff like that. i don't know what to do = / lol.

I'd call and make sure that they have actually had your account upgraded, sometimes they "forget" to upgrade you and just charge you for the faster speeds without you actually receiving them.... They will do this until you call.

hey koko :)

i assume you have cablenut installed

download this file and unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut

open cablenut, in top left corner, click file, click load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubbleclick on the file you unzipped

now click save to registry and reboot

make new tweaktest and speedtest

use the 2992 KB test both up and down

try this

set your NIC to 10 Mbps half duplex, i assume you connect direct to modem

quote from http://dslnuts.com/tips_tricks.shtml

"Windows 2000 or XP: to change to half-duplex:

* Open Control Panel.

* Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections.

* Identify the icon for your cable modem connection: usually Local Area Connection.

* Right-click that icon and select Properties.

* Under the ethernet adapter icon, click the button Configure.

* Click the tab Advanced to bring it to the front:

* In the Property box, the property name to be selected varies according to model of ethernet card. Examples are: Network Link Selection, Media Type, Connection Type, Duplex Mode, or any similarly-named property which can have Values looking like Auto-Negotiation, or 10BT, or 10BaseT.

* In the Value box, select a value which either (a) explicitly says half-duplex or semi-duplex, or (B) at least does not say full-duplex [e.g. 10BaseT on its own is OK]. If there is a choice between 10 and 100 with half-duplex, choose the 10. Do not choose 10Base5, 10Base2, or AUI.

* Click OK to exit the Adapter settings.

* Click OK to exit the Connection properties. "
