How do I increase my download speed?

This is my problem:

Connection is:: 333 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 KB)

Download Speed is:: 41 KB/s

Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/

Test Time:: Sat Feb 26 13:12:02 EST 2005

Bottom Line:: 6X faster than 56K 1MB download in 24.98 sec

Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 16.5 % of your hosts average (rogers.com)

I need help in how to make my connection faster

I got Rogers Cable... and it feels pretty slow... If anyone can help, that would be great

hey, sorry for the late post... was pretty busy recently... the advertised speed should be...

Communications 2.2 megabits per second

Storage 268.1 kilobytes per second

1MB file download 3.8 seconds

but i am not sure... my ISP is Rogers Cable

currently... mine is...

Communications 1.5 megabits per second

Storage 188.7 kilobytes per second

1MB file download 5.4 seconds'

I am currently using Windows XP Professional

Sorry.. but im not relli good with computers... i only know general things... so what's SP2 and where do i get it?

download and install Cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64

download this attached file (Cable & DSL 1500 128.zip) and unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut

open cablenut adjuster, in top left corner, click file, loadcustom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubble click on Cable & DSL 1500 128.ccs

now click save to registry and reboot
