Windows 98SE Boot CD

here is the problem a friend has a older computer with win98 but it needs a reinstall real bad and she lost the cd. I have the files but I can't rember how to make a boot CD, can anyone help I am useing nero cd software

if you already have the files, all you need is the boot disk -  www.bootdisk.com

Doesn't Win 98 have to install from DOS  anyway?

Biggest problem is no floppy drive so I have to make a bootable cd that boots into msdos somehow.

There should be a way to make a bootable CD for DOS, and then swap for the 98 CD after it boots.

Or, I'll bet you could do both on one CD. Put the DOS on the root of the CD and then 98 in it's own folder. Boot and the change directory and type setup and go from there.

that works to make a bootable cd but makes the system think that it is a floppy drive, it can't see the win98 install files.

so I did it the hard way formated the hard drive but it in my computer and copied the files accross then put it and a flopy drive in the first computer and booted from a floppy disk. thanks guys now just to find the correct video and odem drivers.

found some on driverguide,com but they didn't work. Sooner or later I will find them.

Success at last took some doing but I got them to work. (graphics card need extra drivers)

thought I would to give this piece of junk some major surgery (drop test)
