intimidator Posted March 20, 2005 Author CID Share Posted March 20, 2005 Alright, guys. Thanks for the help. I reconfigured some of my connections and what not and now its working a bit faster at about 160Kbps, but still not as fast as it should be. I would use cablenut, but I'm just not all that knowing of how all of this works. Any other suggestions? :::.. intimidator Posted March 20, 2005 Author CID Share Posted March 20, 2005 No, 24, I'm serious. Just check Qwest.com for your self. They have a package that is rated at 1.5Mbps down and 896Kbps up. That's what I got. I just need help getting it even close to the advertised ratings. Please, help me out.
jakop92 Posted March 20, 2005 CID Share Posted March 20, 2005 1500Kbps= 187.9 kBs Your getting your advertized speed. Same thing for Mbps I run 1500Kbps/384Kbps and usually run 1300/300 or 150kBs/40kBs Btw 8 bits in one byte. 8Kbps=1kBps

intimidator Posted March 20, 2005 Author CID Share Posted March 20, 2005 So, is there any way to get my download speed up even if I am running on average?
Mr.buckethead Posted March 20, 2005 CID Share Posted March 20, 2005 Connection is:: 1296 Kbps about 1.3 Mbps (tested with 1013 kB) Your'e 200 kbps away from it, you're at your limit. You aren't going any faster than what you're at. Stop tweaking before you end up slowing it down and live with it.
