twbot Posted August 14, 2022 CID Share Posted August 14, 2022 I have been using Testmy for the past few months. It seems more accurate than the other speedtests I used in the past. I live in a very rural area and use both AT&T and T-Mobile cellular via cell modems/hotspots. In the past two days (since Aug 12 2022) Testmy never completes the basic download test. It starts off with downloading two quick small files then stops midway on the larger test. Occasionally, if I leave the browser window open for a few minutes, I will get a "secure connection" error from Testmy. But Speedtest and LibreTest both work and usually agree on the speeds, about 50 Mbps DL for AT&T. I tried three browsers, Safari, Firefox and Chrome, all with same result. Using a 2020 iMac.
