Testresults 100 Mbps are lower as expected

With an advertised speed of 100 Mbps, a wired updated laptop I get these results:

As a reference:

Speedtest.net 100.92 Mbps

M-lab 98.27 Mbps (they have done better in the past, they are now running an experiment)

Highest value of TestMy.net: 98.4 Mbps, median: 96.8 Mbps, stdev: 0.63.

I only did the download test. All tests completed within 15 seconds, which is nice. Although I think it must be possible to test the download speed within 7 seconds. http://speed.googlefiber.net/ is able to do that, so it will be great if you are also able to perform an accurate download test in 7 seconds.

The interface is looking good.

IMHO this new test is showing a lower result as expected. I also tested once normally and the I measured 100.05 Mbps

In 2023 I tested TestMy.net. At that moment in time the median was 101.3 Mbps which is better because I considered 100.8 Mbps as the correct value to measure. Speed tests which give a result lower than the advertised speed fail in my opinion. See: https://speedtesttest.zomdir.com/2023/one-hundred-point-eight.html

If you make an adjustment, let me know and I'll test it again.

Best regards,

Hans
