JustJim Posted March 26, 2005 Author CID Share Posted March 26, 2005 I am using IPnetTunerX for MAC OS X - it is the only thing thus far that has helped significantly. http://www.sustworks.com I am also losing a very few packets and I am trying to figure that one out - I am thinking of having the Cable Company out to test the line and check the splitter. REH Posted March 26, 2005 CID Share Posted March 26, 2005 Yes, definitely get that line checked out, that should be your first move. I'd wait until they do the test until trying to tweak anything. You could go and do the line quality test at dslreports.com also. -REH

What tweaks are you making with IPNetTuner X? Are you just running the standard Cable Modem script they supply? Or have you fiddled with that? - LB
JustJim Posted March 28, 2005 Author CID Share Posted March 28, 2005 I used their standard tweak - changed the one value to the recommended 1492 I think- I found that optimizer didn't help with my connection. Also, I am behind a router - I think that is the problem with my u/l and packets out of order. They won't test the line unless I am directly connected.
