upload getting better

They advertise 512K up - not sure if I can get to that - I am trying- think I will have them run a line test.

Yes, definitely get that line checked out, that should be your first move. I'd wait until they do the test until trying to tweak anything.

You could go and do the line quality test at dslreports.com also.

I am using IPnetTunerX for MAC OS X - it is the only thing thus far that has helped significantly.

I am also losing a very few packets and I am trying to figure that one out - I am thinking of having the Cable Company out to test the line and check the splitter.

What tweaks are you making with IPNetTuner X? Are you just running the standard Cable Modem script they supply? Or have you fiddled with that?

I used their standard tweak - changed the one value to the recommended 1492 I think- I found that optimizer didn't help with my connection.

Also, I am behind a router - I think that is the problem with my u/l and packets out of order. They won't test the line unless I am directly connected.
