DigitalBoost Posted April 16, 2005 CID Share Posted April 16, 2005 Just a reminder If your not getting a good speed and/or if your speed fluctuates by more than 2mbps then it might be due to one of your anti-virus programs. With McAfee anti-virus enabled my speed was between 5 and 8mbps. With Mcafee disabled I got a constant 15 mbps. With every update they load more and more code onto the machine, without cleaning out the old stuff.. I too see a substantial decrease in download speed with it on.
