VanBuren Posted April 20, 2005 CID Share Posted April 20, 2005 download Dr.Tcp http://www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe make sure it looks like this attached picture, if you see any value, use delete key and erase it, scroll down and make sure no MTU value is set for any adapter. Now click save and exit download and install cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 , click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry, now it must look like this attached picture, click exit reboot your PC and make a new tweaktest, post result again VanBuren

VanBuren Posted April 20, 2005 CID Share Posted April 20, 2005 your MTU seems abit off, do you have a manual for your router/modem ? if so try looking for the MTU settings ( Maximal Transfer Unit ) and change it to 1500 if you cant find that value, i can make you a cablenut file for your current MTU VanBuren

poo417 Posted April 20, 2005 Author CID Share Posted April 20, 2005 Hi and thanks for the help, I have tried the other bandwidth test and it came up with worse results and the mirror page gave similar results to the american server!!!!! dipite all that ocean. I have also tried changing my mtu level to 1492 and that did not seem to make any difference at all. This is driving me mad but maybe it is just my connection and that will be the best I can get, but I am sure it used to be faster. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
