rhapsodyfan Posted May 5, 2005 CID Share Posted May 5, 2005 hey is it possible to mix diffrent ram sticks? i have a HP desktop that is 3 months old and it has PC2700 DDR RAM and i just bought a new HP desktop and it came with PC3200 SDRAM. is it possible to use the PC2700 with the PC3200 SDRAM? just making sure by the way i love this site lots of smart people!! ajck Posted May 5, 2005 CID Share Posted May 5, 2005 Yes you can, but you have to be aware that since PC2700 is the slower one, PC3200 will be running slower than it is supposed to be in order to match the speed.
