VanBuren Posted May 7, 2005 CID Share Posted May 7, 2005 1. What OS are you running, ex win 98, win xp, if you have XP make sure you have SP2 installed! Also download the p2p fix for SP2 here https://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=1497 If you have a MAC try this program http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12591 2. What service do you have, what is the advertised speed for download/upload. 3. What tweakprograms you already got installed, and run this test http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks copy and paste result URL adress in your post! 4. What speed do you have against www.testmy.net and http://nitro.ucsc.edu/ also download this Tracert and Ping program (made by PHP ) https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=3341.0;id=1352 and click on autocheck.exe, when its done, just right click and paste all the result in your post. 6arett Posted May 7, 2005 CID Share Posted May 7, 2005 If you compare your speed to dsl-verizon.net you will be getting full speed. (verizon.net) is mostly 3mb / 768kbits or FIOS....
resijs Posted May 8, 2005 CID Share Posted May 8, 2005 Your speeds are slightly below average for your package, which is the same as mine. Call up verizon, and see if you can update your package to the 3.0 mbs one. there is the 786 deal, 1.5 mbs deal (What we have.), the 3.0 mbs deal. or FiOS.
