lorne Posted June 14, 2005 CID Share Posted June 14, 2005 The 9800 Pro will play that game no problem. What drivers are you using? The CPU is a little weak but should be able to play it ok. What resolution are you using? What quality are you playing at?

lorne Posted June 14, 2005 CID Share Posted June 14, 2005 No it should be fine with 9. Have you scanned for spyware and viruses? How many processes do you have running in the background? What is the temp of your CPU while under load?
bent240LV Posted June 14, 2005 Author CID Share Posted June 14, 2005 i dont know the temp, i have a dell 4550 i dont think i can get that info.
lorne Posted June 14, 2005 CID Share Posted June 14, 2005 Find out what motherboard you have and we will see if you can. Most boards now have temp probes. How bout the scanning for spyware viruses, and how many processes you have running?? Lots of questions i know but they are needed to narrow things down to the problem
bent240LV Posted June 14, 2005 Author CID Share Posted June 14, 2005 there are 26 processes running and the MB is a dell MB everet just displays dell dimension 4550 for the MB name and <DMI> for the ID. and spyware and all that are all good. I just left it at autotdetect and it seems to be fine now, I actually did a defrag and it helped believe it or not.
lorne Posted June 14, 2005 CID Share Posted June 14, 2005 Ok cool, yeah a fragged drive will do that forsure
bent240LV Posted June 14, 2005 Author CID Share Posted June 14, 2005 hey thanks for your help. i cant believe i did not buy that game earlier. One day i will build a bad ass computer. not to diss on dell i just dont think i would buy another one.
lorne Posted June 14, 2005 CID Share Posted June 14, 2005 Your welcome, yeah i would never buy a DEll either. You can build 1 that is much faster for the same price. Dell's are notorious for being incompatible with alot of different hardware. So upgrading can be a big pain in the ass
