KingCobra Posted June 27, 2005 CID Share Posted June 27, 2005 If those are the speeds you are getting for the 30/5 plan, something is seriously wrong.

TM Posted June 27, 2005 CID Share Posted June 27, 2005 i cant imagine a bad TCP setting would reflect that poor speed sounds like a bad cross connect at our end call us up and we will do our best to fix it...also is this a wired pc or wireless? we can always disp out a tech and it wont cost you anything if its our fault. lbrooks Posted June 28, 2005 Author CID Share Posted June 28, 2005 It's a wired connection. I'll have to give them a call and have them check it out. It's weird I've gotten higher speeds for awhile and then they just dropped off. If you can think of anything else let me know. Thanks LB

Thanks LB Hello LB: I was getting similar speeds to yours with a 15/2 connection, it turned out to be my firewall & antivirus (I was using Mcafee) after getting rid of it and installing different antivirus & firewall my speeds more than doubled so it is now where it should be, . just curious;, "What are you using for firewall & a/v???" Lenny38 Posted July 12, 2005 CID Share Posted July 12, 2005 Has your pc been "tweaked" MTU settings adjusted? If not; dslreports.com -test & tools -doctor tcp -2nd file from top ending in exe -open not save 307824 default -yes default -yes -yes 1492 -select network adapter you are using to connect restart comp for settings to take effect
