Comcast 6mb upgrade worked first night now down to 4.5mb help

Hi Im new to the forum but i did the speed upgrade from comcast and the first night when i tested it was right on at 6.1 mb now ever since then the highest i can get is like 4.9-5 Im on a router when disconnected from it it makes not difference. Other computer in our house is getting like 6.3mb with no tweaks. I also have Vanbruens 6000 768 tweak installed with no luck. I could sure use some help thank you.

P.S At dslreports and pcpitstop it says im above 6mb so i dont know what the deal is. And when doing the dload test the bar always stops at the 50-67% mark for a couple of seconds.

So there are other computers in the home on the same router that get test results of closer to 6 Mbps?  Sound like maybe there is some software interfering on the one PC.  Are you running any antivirus, firewall or Internet optimizer?  If so you may want to disable them for the test.  Also be sure to clear your browser out.  Check out https://testmy.net/topic-4257 for some steps on doing that.  Perhaps your tweaks aren't quite correct.  Check out https://testmy.net/topic-1013 for other settings.

Thanks for the tips but no dice. I do have an intel cpu excelerator progaram would that affect it? Other than that both all have norton anti virus corprate running and the funny thing is the one that gets the fastest speeds has zone alarm running also so if anyone has anymore ideas, my ears are open

Also im sure it has to do with the download test bar always hanging at 50-70% so it must have something to do with that. Same speed results without the bar so i dont know
