mwgtexas Posted July 11, 2005 Author CID Share Posted July 11, 2005 That's what I was thinking, especially coming off of my wireless. It's almost as fast as the PC the router is plugged into. I have spent mucho hours tweaking to get those speeds so if some wants to probe for tweak info on my wireless I would be happy to share

tbaker397 Posted July 11, 2005 CID Share Posted July 11, 2005 is it a cable provider? if so then your plan is 512-5/128.
mwgtexas Posted July 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted July 12, 2005 It's Cable (Cebridge). Cebridge offers 2 plans. 1mg and 5mg. I'm on the 1 mg plan as the 5mg is not available in my area (at least I'm not paying for the 5mg).
tbaker397 Posted July 12, 2005 CID Share Posted July 12, 2005 your line can handle more than the 1 meg your paying fore judging by you download/upload speeds
mwgtexas Posted July 12, 2005 Author CID Share Posted July 12, 2005 Probably so. But once a month I try to upgrade service to the 5 mg plan and they keep telling me that it's still not available in my area. Supposingly they will be upgrading service in our area soon??? tbaker397 Posted July 12, 2005 CID Share Posted July 12, 2005 not sure, but my line is capped at 4/384 and i always hit the cap on speed tests and when downloading i hit 550 kb/s. So i know theres more room there but i just don't have it, call up Cebridge and ask if you can get your cap raised to say a 3/384 line.
