ok that's cool, but that doesn't give us much to work with here.  What version of windows do you have? what firewall do you use? IM/P2P's/other downloads?  can you post some pings and traceroutes to testmy.net (you'll find that info in those links)?  did you try cablenut?  are you connected via ethernet or USB? What kind of modem and NIC do you have?  Please ask specific questions to get specific answers!

Version: Windows XP

Firewall: Windows Firewall

IM: Yes, not when I ran the test

P2P: No disabled

Connection: Ethernet

Modem: It says COM71 on the front and was the standard one my ISP provided me

NIC: What is that?

And this info:

OK thanks, I used the cablenut tweaks that's as high as I could get it. If i was to switch my connection over ot my xbox would i still get these speeds, or will it only work this fast on my computer. Thansk for your help

Xbox should connect really close to those speeds.  Keep in mind, it can't be tweaked, but it also doesn't have software running in the background that would interfere with the connection.
