Cox just let my area go to 9000/1000, the following is my results using the custom file creator... :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 9092 Kbps about 9.1 Mbps (tested with 5983 kB) Download Speed is:: 1110 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Thu Aug 11 2005 00:17:12 GMT-0700 (US Mountain Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 162X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.92 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 147.4 % faster than the average for host (cox.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-M89G5HEFL Here's what I did, I used cablenut, went to j79zlr's xp page and created a custom css file. Applied the custom file in cablenut. Then I applied these tweaks of that page: Faster page loading Disable DNS Caching Increase Buffer That's it. I was at 6000/725. Made my day. I live in Phoenix. Stalls is not a problem aslong as the speed is fine, these tweaks can work like that when your conections peak out.
