RTB Posted October 12, 2004 CID Share Posted October 12, 2004 And I wasn't suprised when I heard the disadvantage of gmail: All your mail becomes public property after 30 days.
luwigie Posted October 12, 2004 CID Share Posted October 12, 2004 I've got 12 invites to give out... RTB, where do you see that it becomes public property?
rob7239 Posted October 12, 2004 Author CID Share Posted October 12, 2004 yeah i haven't see that or even herd that our mail becomes private, were did you hear that from.
luwigie Posted October 12, 2004 CID Share Posted October 12, 2004 Not to discredit RTB but: http://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/more.html#privacy Or more specifically: Privacy is compromised, however, if personal information or private email content is shared with parties other than the sender and intended recipients without their consent. This is not the case when people use Gmail. Google does not share or reveal email content or personal information with third parties. Email messages remain strictly between the sender and intended recipients, even when only one of the parties is a Gmail user.
RTB Posted October 12, 2004 CID Share Posted October 12, 2004 yeah i haven't see that or even herd that our mail becomes private' date=' were did you hear that from.[/quote'] Somewhere on the net. Can't be hard to find I suppose. Anyway, you may have 1 GB data storage, but what's the maximum size per email? Another place where Gmail might restrict you. ecliptic Posted October 13, 2004 CID Share Posted October 13, 2004 "You can send and receive messages up to 10 megabytes (MB) total (including attachments). Any message that exceeds this limit will not be delivered to your inbox and will be returned to the sender. If you attempt to send an email that exceeds this limit, you will get an error message and your email will not be sent."
