amc11890 Posted August 13, 2005 CID Share Posted August 13, 2005 Usually cached are results way over advertised speeds and are pretty obvious that they are cached but ur results dont seem to be.................test is saved into browser cache and results appear imediatly so results are 100% inaccurate
RandomLetters Posted August 13, 2005 CID Share Posted August 13, 2005 this would be the example of a cached result: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 71611 Kbps about 71.6 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 8742 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Fri Aug 12 22:34:19 EDT 2005 Bottom Line:: 1279X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.12 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 2771.33 % faster than the average for host (charter.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-PNK40GLVC I actually had to download something while I did this, it kept going above the 90k limit heh

WildRos3 Posted August 17, 2005 CID Share Posted August 17, 2005 Hey sposes. I have sympatico high speed internet and here are my stats: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 2565 Kbps about 2.6 Mbps (tested with 2992 kB) Download Speed is:: 313 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server1) Test Time:: Wed, 17 Aug 2005 17:45:47 GMT-0400 Bottom Line:: 46X faster than 56K 1MB download in 3.27 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 49.74 % faster than the average for host (sympatico.ca) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-MY6I3FAZR :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Connection is:: 277 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 97 kB) Upload Speed is:: 34 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2) Test Time:: Wed, 17 Aug 2005 17:46:39 GMT-0400 Bottom Line:: 5X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 30.12 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 81.71 % of your hosts average (sympatico.ca) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-29EI6LONB which is pretty sad, because i know., i just know it could be better but i can't seem to be able to master tweaks Anyways, it's a nice deal you got, maybe i'll think about upgrading myself.I only used sympatico and i can't compare with other services, but from what i've seen online about rogers and some others sympatico is way better. I especially like the unlimited bandwidth thingie. I download like crazy
duffman1234 Posted August 17, 2005 CID Share Posted August 17, 2005 Sympatico's ultra is now 5 mbit download, the upgraded with no extra charge, i might switch to them soon, but roger's extreme is 6 mbs, 800 Kbps with no extra charge. Some nice changes. Look at symaptico's site, its 5 mbps now
