maybe start a sideline to this thread. who here uses diesel, or would like to, if their vehicle of choice came with the option. (as sadly most suv's and minivans nowadays, except the pricier european ones (bmw x5, vw touareg) don't come with it. accolades to daimler chrysler for throwing the jeep liberty diesel on the market.

and for those who haven't done the math yet, most diesels get the sam or better mileage than a comparable hybrid. without the environmentally questionable battery stack of undetermined longevity.
