duffman1234 Posted August 17, 2005 CID Share Posted August 17, 2005 Rogers extreme is going to be 6.0/800 with 100 GB bandwidth limit, if you are payinh 46.95 you should get the upgrade by the end of this month. Call rogers if you don't. I have rogers too, trust me sometimes speeds can go down to 900 kpbs, disable firewall and delete cablenut settings and try a new speed test, power cycle modem, that usually helps me as well. Also if you have an old modem, demand rogers to upgrade, ive heard something about free modem upgrades to retired modems and modems that are not docsis. YOur upload is above cap, dont worry about that, i wish i could get that.

duffman1234 Posted August 18, 2005 CID Share Posted August 18, 2005 Dont worry, thats normal speeds, rogers never gives the real cap, i know a lot of people and they get from 4 mbps to 4.7, depends on the location/modem/router. Did you run ccleaner, adware, and spybot, they always help, aslo check for viruses/trojans. And you will be getting then upgrade soon at no extra charge.
