I currently run Comcast, 4000/386.

Without these tweaks, my download speed was only 140-160 kB/s. When I applied these tweaks, I get around 450-500 kB/s constant.

These do work! Worked for me and my friends.

Install and do the following in the readme:

I think the reg stuff helped but if you want me to send you the cablenut I got let me

know cause it seems like its working for me. on a 4m/386k line from adelphia it may

even be less if you go to www.adelphiasocal.com and check the net speeds. Thank you

Hmmmm... If you applied your own personal settings before the ones I have, don't apply mine unless if you want to. I am on Comcast, and everytime I re-install windows and download something, without my tweaks, its always 140-150 KB/s. When I apply my tweaks I download at 520 KB/s on my 4mb/386kb connection.

If you guys have some good settings that work great, let me know, ill add them into the zip.

Didn't do anything for me, if anything it made my connection slower.

But than again, your connection was slow to boot.

When I said reappied I ment I appied my settings again. The tweaks are good but maybe the values of the windows may be lacking some in certain area's. Another thing that I found to help was going to run>sysedit enter then setting the value for my irq on the nic card. 4mb is good and i saw a good increase in performance as well as responsiveness. Anyway if you want my css file or the part of the irq memory setting let me know.
