santims Posted September 15, 2005 CID Share Posted September 15, 2005 i am havin a heck of a time settin up my d-link router on my powermac so that i can connect to azureus without getting my 'nat error' when setting up the connection setup: dlink 624 hard wired to winXP PC powermac g5 running wireless i would like to be able to run the firewall on my mac but let one port through for azureus to run through. i am pretty uneducated in this area so feel free to explain this to me like i am a dumbass -chris
Swimmer Posted September 15, 2005 CID Share Posted September 15, 2005 your problem is the firewall on the router.. http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Dlink/DI-624/Azureus.htm read that.. if ya have question let us know! If you want the connection to stay, so you dont have to change it.. you are going to need to assign static ips to the computers.. I would do this anyways.. From my experience macs dont play nice on networks when they are with windows machines..
santims Posted September 16, 2005 Author CID Share Posted September 16, 2005 i have followed that before, the only issue i have had really is the fact that i can not figure out how setup a static IP i am still getting a NAT error in asureus -chris
Swimmer Posted September 17, 2005 CID Share Posted September 17, 2005 http://homepage.mac.com/car1son/static_port_fwd_staticip.html try that.. just make sure that you used the correct dns server and default gateway.. they should be something like 192.168.0.
