robertesmith Posted November 11, 2005 CID Share Posted November 11, 2005 I have a Dlink DCM 202 that needs to have the firmware upgraded to better work with my comcast service.
dlewis23 Posted November 11, 2005 CID Share Posted November 11, 2005 that firmware is to be used only if your comcast is droping out, if it does not do that don't upgrade. or you will mess up the modem.
robertesmith Posted November 11, 2005 Author CID Share Posted November 11, 2005 My speeds aren't what they should be, and I'm hoping that the 'fix' that Dlink says they made for the upgraded firmware for the DCM202 will work. The real problem seems to be that the TFTP software doesn't show a transfer going on -- I can ping the modem and the connection is good, and telnet from the modem is working through hyperterminal and accepting commands, it just fizzles when it trys to reach out and download the file, and the file transfer doesn't show on the TFTP window.... is there another TFTP server I could try, or is anyone familiar with the bugginess of this file transfer process?
