RAINMAKA Posted December 13, 2005 CID Share Posted December 13, 2005 i was reading throught the forums and i found this one topic that is now removed. http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=9880.0 after reading i see that this guys upload was fake and i was wondering how and why would u make a fake test. and i was wondering what type of connection you would have to get to have a upload speed like that. im pretty sure those speeds would not be capable in your home but at a university or company of somesort. any input would be great. Dark_Matter Posted December 13, 2005 CID Share Posted December 13, 2005 87 Mbps ehhh yeah right if that was a real test he would be somewhere between an OC-1 and an OC-3. When it comes to could someone have thay type of connection in their home if you have enough money sure you could. Money talks, and will get you damn near anything you want. OC-1 = 51.

RAINMAKA Posted December 13, 2005 Author CID Share Posted December 13, 2005 i am assuming that those levels of OC are a type of fiber. what kind of prices are would someone be looking at if they wanted that type of connection. and are those speeds but download and upload or just download? Blunted 2 Posted December 14, 2005 CID Share Posted December 14, 2005 you wouldnt look for this cause its for business only and no residential would ever need this but the lowest cost there is probably over $3000 a month for the cheapest 1 there and the most expensive probably goes for over $500,000 a month and probably 1 million for some. also those speeds are upload and download.
